Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Monday!

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was unproductive to say the least. I barely did anything at all. I mean, ::gasp::, I didn't even read. So bear with me this week while I play catch-up.

Look out for my review of Black and White by Jackie Kessler and Caitlin Kittredge, which will be officially released tomorrow, later on in the day.

In the meantime, here are some things that I found about the blogosphere this weekend:

• The followup to Strange Angels, Lilith Saintcrow's debut YA novel, Betrayals is already up for pre-order at Barnes & Noble and Amazon and it's not even being released until November of this year.

• Anna over at Anna's Book Blog is celebrating her two year blog anniversary. To mark the occasion, she's having one contest each week in June. The first one starts today and prizes include signed books, a tote bag and a t-shirt among many others.

• Jackie Kessler is giving away a copy of graphic novel Batman: RIP and all it takes to enter is to post a comment.

• Kessler is also still handing out copies of Black and White to random Twitter followers when she hits landmark numbers. She has yet to hit 800, 900 and 1,000 so get to tweetin'.

• Michele Hauf is giving away copies of Faeries Gone Wild, an anthology that she contributed to along with MaryJanice Davidson and others. They are signed by all of the authors and will go to fans that tweet pictures of the book in bookstores. It hits shelves tomorrow so be on the look out.

• Author of the Spellcrackers series, Suzanne Mcleod, is giving out a copy of the winners choice of any novel from Carrie Vaughn's Kitty series. In honor of the upcoming release of her second Spellcrackers book, The Cold Kiss of Death, she's also including either a copy of that or her other novel The Sweet Scent of Blood.

• The author of upcoming YA novel Dead Is the New Black, Marlene Perez, is over at Amberkatze's Book Blog offering up 3 copies of the her other book, Dead Is So Last Year.

• An 8GB iPod Touch is still up for grabs at Bitten by Books, courtesy of author Sara Taney Humphreys.

• Christine Feehan fans - put your name in the drawing at Alaine's blog if you would like a copies of Fever and Burning Wild from her Leopard People series.

• Finally, check out author Cynthia Eden's blog. This month is dedicated demons in celebration of her pending release Midnight's Master. She's giving away books and things from a bunch of other authors too! First up is Anya Bast's Witch Fury.
