Synopsis from Amazon.com:
Morgan Sparks has always known that she and her boyfriend, Cam, are made for each other. But when Cam’s cousin Pip comes to stay with the family, Cam seems depressed. Finally Cam confesses to Morgan what’s going on: Cam is a fairy. The night he was born, fairies came down and switched him with a healthy human boy. Nobody expected Cam to live, and nobody expected his biological brother, heir to the fairy throne, to die. But both things happened, and now the fairies want Cam back to take his rightful place as Fairy King. This novel is sweet, enchanting, and puts a unique twist on the young adult love story. However, what really makes this one standout for me is Cyn Balog's great sense of humor.
Even as Cam physically changes, becoming more miserable each day, he and Morgan pledge to fool the fairies and stay together forever. But by the time Cam has to decide once and for all what to do, Morgan’s no longer sure what’s best for everyone, or whether her and Cam’s love can weather an uncertain future.
Morgan is a pretty typical teenager, if you ignore the facts that she has psychic abilities and a rare bond with her neighbor, best friend, and boyfriend, Cameron. It's her intelligence and wit though that make her such fun character to experience the story through. Her observant and dry commentary is what propels this novel beyond the realm of typical young adult stories.
Balog also does a great job with the plot. Her "fairy tale-ending" isn't what you may expect it to be, but it's no less satisfying for it's uniqueness. I was holding out hope throughout the novel that things would end up how I wanted them to yet, despite the fact that it ended decidely different, I found myself pleased and more than a little teary-eyed. Usually, when a "happily-ever-after" situation does not mesh with the one that I've preconceived I get really pissed. I can't say that that was the case this time around.
If you're in the mood for a light, charming, and sometimes touching "fairy tale", then I suggest that you go give this a try.

I read and loved this one too. It's just such a sweet and fun read and Morgan is a fresh YA heroine who's stronger than she thinks. Great review!
