- Bitter Night
(Horngate Witches, 1) by Diana Pharaoh Francis (A-)

Challenge books (linked to Amazon):
- Harmonic Feedback
(Read Your Own Books Challenge)
- Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night
(Immortals After Dark, 3) by Kresley Cole (Finish That Series Challenge) - I didn't think that Cole would be able to make me warm-up to MacRieve in this one, but she did. I only read it so that I wouldn't fall behind with the goings-on in the Lore, but I ended up really enjoying this one. Mostly because Mari is such a cool heroine and she didn't take MacRieve's crap.
- Dark Needs at Night's Edge (IAD, 4) by Kresley Cole (FTS Challenge) - Conrad and Néomi's story was sweet. They rank as my 3rd fave IAD couple after Nikolai-Myst and Sebastian-Kaderin (in that order).
Books that I've read this month and won't review, but I recommend for you to check out them out (linked to Amazon):
- What the Librarian Did by Karina Bliss - It really is as good as everyone is saying. Bliss takes the Bad boy/Good girl romance trope and turns it on its head.
- Dead in the Family
(Southern Vampires Mystery/Sookie Stackhouse, 10) by Charlaine Harris - Only read if you're familiar with the series. Otherwise, you'll be utterly lost and won't see what the hype is all about. It's definitely one of the slower books in the series, but it shows us new sides of several characters. Harris has made a slight departure with this installment, but I think it's an important one.
- Hunter Kiss
(Hunter Kiss Prequel Novella) by Marjorie M. Liu - This really should be read before beginning her series, as it clarifies and sets up a lot. Overall, it's a very good novella - action packed and romantic.
- Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night (see above)
- Magic Bleeds
(Kate Daniels, 4) by Ilona Andrews - The best Kate book yet! Each book is so good yet, somehow, the authors manage to the next one even better. While this one is more romantic than the previous novels, it doesn't sacrifice on the magical drama.
- Dark Needs at Night's Edge (see above)
- One Dance with a Duke
(Stud Club, 1) by Tessa Dare - Simply a great Regency - charming, unique and occasionally funny. I especially liked that although the hero is an Alpha-male and the heroine is naturally submissive, the heroine still manages to do it all on her terms. If she follows his orders, it's because she wants to and she doesn't hesitate to put him in his place.
