(Un)Cover: Soul Screamers UK or Wherein the Brits Do It Better

Rachel Vincent posted the covers for the upcoming UK releases of her Soul Screamers series, so the side-by-side was inevitable:

It may just be the novelty of them, but I'm liking the new UK covers a bit more. I think they did a great job of evoking a similar feel to the US versions and I like that they used the same colors in a different way.

What do you think?

I have not been a fan of the US covers at all. I was fine with the first one but then they changed the zoom of the second one and the third one is just disturbing. She looks like she has down syndrome, not there's anything wrong with that.

I LOVE the UK covers. Seriously. They capture the series just about perfectly. The only issue I can pick out is the model on MSTSave because she looks a tab too old to represent Kaylee at 16.

I know what you mean about the MSTK cover. That's not a very flattering shot of her face. It looks to me like she got caught off-guard or something.

Good point about the MSTS cover. Something about her eyes makes her look older - maybe it's the makeup.

The UK covers are brutally cool :)

Wow! I haven't been a fun of the US ones, really, but the UK ones are so awesome! It's refreshing to have a paranormal series NOT with a dark background, but still it evokes the dark feel of the series. I almost want to switch my copies for UK ones now!
